THE owner of a Japanese Akita dog which escaped from her home in Waterfoot wants her pet back home and is offering a reward.
Kuma is 16 months old, 24ins high and a rusty colour with white feet, white tips in her tail, a white chest with a black mask.
The pedigree dog went missing on New Year's Day when Pauline Jones, who lives on a farm in Lench Road, put Kuma and her year-old male Japanese Akita dog Kato out in the yard. She said: "They had only been out for a few minutes and when I looked they were both gone. I put an 8ft long chain on Kuma to stop her jumping out because she had gone missing before. We searched everywhere trying to find them. Two days later Kato came back, but we can't find Kuma."
Mrs Jones is offering a reward for the safe return of the dog and anyone with information can contact her on 01706 212594.
