ISN'T Eric Leaver (LET, January 2) the brave one? Fancy asking in black and white for the police force's 'chopper' to be chopped.
After doing that, he points out that the helicopter in question has found 17 missing people.
What price does he put on the recovery of a missing child, mum, dad, wife or husband?
The 'chopper' was responsible for 387 arrests. How much more horror and misery was averted by these arrests?
How do you evaluate the joy that recovery of £187,000-worth of stolen property has brought?
My suggestion for saving money in Lancashire is to scupper the good ship 'County Hall' and all the overpaid councillors with her.
Leave the helicopter alone, Eric.
