BARSNLEY boss Steve Parkin has promised his side will give the same passion and commitment in the FA Cup third round replay at Ewood Park a week on Wednesday.
The former Rochdale manager was delighted with his sides showing at Oakwell on Saturday - although gutted to concede an equaliser eight minutes from time - and thinks his first division side can once again raise their game to face the Premiership side.
Darren Barnard had scored a wonder goal to give the Tykes a shock lead on 77 minutes but former Barnsley favourite Craig Hignett equalised with a header.
"It was a lovely goal from Darren," said the 36-year-old Barnsley chief. "Realistically I would have settled for a draw before the game against a Premiership side but I would have liked a goal like that to win it.
"When Darren's goal flew in with just a few minutes left, I would have liked to have seen it be the winner - and I did think it could be our day - but we have got to be stronger when we score.
"I thought it we weathered it for a little bit after that as they changed it around but we do seem to struggle once we get the lead. It is the same in the league.
"There has not been that many games when we have gone ahead and we then get a little bit tentative after that.
"They worked a good goal. It was the first time they have got two on one on the wing and, as you would expect from a Premiership side, they made it count.
"It would have to be Craig Hignett wouldn't it? I was talking to him as we came off the pitch, we had a joke about the fact it could only be him. He could only hit it into that corner and it was a perfect header from a good cross with lots of pace on it.
"But it is all part of the cup. Something will always happen. If we can go to Ewood Park and play with the same spirit and passion we'll see where it takes us."
The draw extened Barnsley's unbeaten run to eight games as they bid to get out of the lower reaches of the First Division.
Parkin, who took over at Oakwell in November, is expecting another competitive game at Ewood - with the propect of a trip to Millwall waiting in the wings.
"It was good game from our point of view and for the fans of both sides," he continued. "Both sides played to win the game.
"I was pleased with the way we played. We defended well.
"The players are getting some self belief. That's eight games without a loss and we can take heart that we have competed against some talented, big names stars.
"My players will be boosted by the fact they have lived with a Premiership side over 90 minutes, and can take that into the Nationwide.
"We play some crucial matches in the next few weeks and I think we will be a match for anybody here at Oakwell."
