BURNLEY Council is to draft an action plan outlining how it will meet the recommendations of the Task Force report.
A similar plan is due to be unveiled in Oldham today.
The report into the summer disturbances in Burnley criticised the council for what it called a "lack of overall strategic vision" and a lack of leadership in the town.
Council leader Stuart Caddy plans to start compiling the council's response after a meeting of the executive on January 8 and the Task Force community meeting at Turf Moor on Thursday January 10.
A special session of the council's executive is planned for the end of the month where an action plan will be developed.
Coun Caddy said: "Obviously we have got to look at an action plan. I am looking at all the reports of summer riots, the things we should be addressing and drafting an action plan as soon as possible.
"It is really important that the council addresses the concerns of the report."
