A FORUM on rights of way is to be held in Haslingden.
County Councillor Tim Ormrod, Cabinet Member for Public Protection and Rural Affairs, will be joined by Richard Toon, hairman of Lancashire's Access Forum at 12.30pm on Thursday at Haslingden Library to take a look at a special roadshow promoting the consultation process on new access areas proposed under the Countryside and Rights of Way Act 2000.
The roadshow, one of a series being organised by the Countryside Agency to allow people to see the maps and pass on their comments about the proposal, will be the last in Lancashire.
The Forum, made up of representatives from rural communities, local authorities, walking and access groups and landowners, will be considering the proposed new access areas outlined on the maps and making final decisions on the locations once the consultation period finishes.
