AT 3.30pm on Saturday December 29, I had to travel from Feniscowles to Wilpshire and was appalled to find the roads so bad after only a light covering of snow and hail.
This was forecast all day Friday, so there was no excuse for not gritting the roads.
Even on Sunday lunchtime some of the main roads in Blackburn had not been gritted and the motorway to Accrington had only one lane cleared.
That night, I read the report on the roadworks fiasco and disappearing signs, including the comments of Councillor Ashley Whalley.
One thing about Blackburn is that we are consistent, but not always successful and, according to Coun Whalley, it is never the council's fault as we go from one disaster to another.
If they organised a variety performance, I feel that there would be many comedians but very few speciality acts.
