COUNCILLORS will be asked to review plans for a cattle shed at Admergill Hall Farm, in Blacko, after objections were received.
Members of the Barrowford and Western Parishes Committee supported an amended scheme for a 30m by 18m by 6.5m shed, on the site of a former shippon, subject to no adverse comments by December 19.
Three letters of objection were submitted by residents near to the farm who were concerned that there were no facilities for slurry storage or fodder storage, that there would be an additional pressure on the spring water supply already serving three households and there would be an increase in nuisance from flies and smell.
The parish council expressed concern at recent developments carried out by the applicant, which are part of an enforcement investigation. These include the formation of a car park on the side of Monk's Rest, a road constructed across an adjoining field, a bridge built over the Admergill Water and a shipping container stored behind the sheep shed.
Additional comments were received, which stated that the amended site for the shed was still only 78 feet away from the nearest house and had increased three times in size.
Planning officers pointed out that the principal consideration would be the impact of the proposal on the nearest dwelling and the Grade 2 Listed farmhouse.
They recommended the plans for approval.
