THE newly-built Central United Reformed Church in Darwen is hosting a Sunday Winter Band concert this weekend.
Blackburn with Darwen Second Band will entertain the community at this special concert at 2.30pm aimed to bring the people of Darwen together to blow away the winter blues with a lively and enthusiastic programme.
Church Elder Jean Yates said: "Concerts at our new worship centre have been very popular and help to raise much needed funds to expand our community vision for the future.
"This is the last of the winter concerts and shortly we will announced the autumn series of performances."
The centre is on Duckworth Street in the town centre.
Mulled wine and mince pies will be available after the performance.
Tickets are priced £3.50, children under 12 can get in free, and are available from Jean on 01254 702564.
