THE National Probation Service is to hold a multi-cultural conference to promote racial equality in East Lancashire.
The event, to be held Jans Conference Centre, Higher Audley Street, Blackburn, on Friday, January 11, is the first of its kind to be held in the county.
More than 100 representatives from community groups across the county are expected to attend.
John Crawforth, Chief Probation Officer in Lancashire, said: "Probation has traditionally developed close working relationships with communities and partner agencies and our impetus is to ensure equal opportunities and confront racial discrimination when it occurs."
