CHILDREN under one are being urged to join the club - and bring their parents with them.
Two health visitors at the Larkhill health centre in Blackburn, Margaret Williams and Jacqui Stevens, have set up the club for under ones, which will be held every Wednesday at the Daisyfield community centre, to give parents a chance to share experiences and concerns, while also letting the children play together.
The club, set up by the Blackburn with Darwen Primary Care Trust's community development team and the nearby Churchill House day nursery, will let parents decide how the sessions are run and will include topics such as books for babies, nursery rhymes and songs to help develop children's language.
The free sessions are between10am and noon every Wednesday. Older brothers and sisters are welcome.
