POLICE have renewed their appeal for witnesses after a driver and his passengers made off after jumping a red light and causing an accident.
The group ran from a Toyota Celica car which police said drove through a red light and caused an accident at the junction of Blackburn Road and Brook Street in Haslingden, Rossendale.
The red, F-registered Celica was abandoned at the scene on Sunday.
Sgt Russ Gregory said: "Asian males were seen running away from the scene."
The Honda was driven by Stephen Smith, of Mount St James, Knuzden, Blackburn who suffered whiplash injuries.
The Escort was driven by Michael Pollitt, of Windsor Road, Great Harwood, who was not injured.
