POLICE are looking for a man who tried to sexually assault a nurse as she arrived at the Royal Preston Hospital to start work.
The 35-year-old nurse parked in the car park in front of the hospital to begin her shift at 9.45pm on Monday, January 7.
As she got out of her car she was drawn to the sound of someone crying out for help from some bushes at the side of the car park.
But when she went to investigate she was confronted by an Asian man, who grabbed her and ripped open the top of her uniform, damaging her underclothes.
After a struggle the nurse escaped from the man, who was 19-20 years old and of slim build.
He was wearing a FILA baseball cap, a dark blue bubble jacket, jeans and trainers.
DI Joe Kellett of Preston police said: "We are appealing for anybody with information to come forward. The victim wasn't hurt physically, but the attack was very disturbing."
