IRATE company bosses from Burnley blockaded a customer's business in a row over cash.
Two 45ft trailers were abandoned outside the entrance of Brand Support Services, Union Mills Business Centre, Accrington, preventing vehicles entering or leaving the site yesterday.
The move at the Pickup Street entrance was in protest at a bill Burnley transport company Express Freight Solutions say is long overdue.
But Gavin Mellor, director of Brand Support Services, denied that his company owed any money.
He said that if any money was owed it was by a Salford-based company his firm had employed to help it find transport companies when it moved to the area.
Police were called to prevent any possible breach of the peace but were not required to take any action.
The standoff ended in a stalemate with the vehicles later being taken away by Express Freight Solutions staff but the company has vowed to return again and again until they are paid.
Mark Jones, managing director of Express Freight Solutions, of Smallshaw Lane, said that his company collected and delivered goods to the Accrington company last summer but that he has still not received an expected payment of £1,800.
"It is a lot of money and we will keep bringing the trailers back until we get the money we are owed."
Mr Mellor said: "We moved here last May and were new to the area so employed the Salford company to source transport for us and we have paid them.
"They were not doing the job satisfactorily so we have since let them go but if these people are owed any money it is by them not us.
"We are not happy about this and are taking legal advice. We are very concerned about defamation of character and the effect on our business and are going to take this further.
"Dumping trailers is not the way of conducting business. We have lorries that needed to get out and vehicles that were due to deliver, which cost us around £1,000."
Mr Mellor gave the name and telephone number he had for the firm in Salford but the number no longer exists and BT has no listing for the firm.
Company House in London were unable to trace it.
Both parties are taking legal advice from their solicitors.
