AN East Lancashire MP today announced he was taking to the streets in a bid to improve his relationship with constituents.
The move by Burnley MP Peter Pike comes after he reviewed how effective his advice surgeries can be.
He has already added an additional surgery at the ASDA superstore in Princes Way, but is still keen to do more.
Mr Pike will now be getting out and about to meet people and listen to their concerns.
He said: "Last year I experimented with holding additional advice bureaux in ASDA and the venue was very successful with my constituents. I have now made ASDA a regular part of contact with my constituents.
"This year I am going to experiment with meeting my constituents on their own street. This should overcome any difficulties they may have with getting out and travelling into town to see me."
