COUNCIL officers in Barnoldswick have vowed to tackle the problem of overgrown trees and minor flooding near Letcliffe Park after a complaint from a resident at the West Craven Committee.
Geoffrey Starkie, of Manchester Road, said the water on the road had frozen in the cold weather, trees by the road side had overgrown and made it difficult to pass and the gutters were in need of cleaning.
He also said there was always a lot of water around the Victoria Park fountain.
Officers said they would like at cutting back the trees and an engineer would look at the water problem, which they believed could be seeping from an old water supply belonging to the old toilet block in the park.
