A COLNE teenager clicked into top gear during a work placement with a car restorer.
Danny Steer, 15, a pupil at Park High School, got the chance to turn his love of cars into reality when East Lancashire Education Partnerships arranged for him to spend 10 days with restoration specialists Auto Services in West Street, Colne.
The company specialises in restoring and rebuilding imported American cars and Danny got the chance to work on Cadillacs, Chevrolets and Ford Pick-Up trucks.
Workshop manager, Andrew Bailey said: "Many of the vehicles we work on are used in car rallies and other prestige events, so the standard of workmanship has to be particularly high.
"Danny showed he could learn very quickly and I'm sure if he pursues this as a career he will do very well."
