A CASE conference is due to be held in Rossendale tomorrow after a group of teenage tearaways refused to sign behaviour contracts with police.
The meeting has been set up as police prepare to pursue four juveniles through the courts to obtain anti social behaviour orders (ASBO) against them following a spate of juvenile crime in the area.
The teenagers, all from Haslingden, had each been asked to sign a voluntary acceptable behaviour contract but will now be put before a court after they all refused.
The case conference will involve a number of agencies dealing with the group to discuss the situation and represents the next step in the police's decision to take the matter to court.
The four, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, have committed assault, criminal damage, burglary and disorderly conduct in recently.
