CLAYTON'S Brian Leathley set a new over 70's record of 62:13 in the 6M long Auld Lang Syne Fell Race. In the last race of the year Jack Holt won the M50 class for Clayton while Rossendale's Ken Taylor was third.
Bingley's Ian Holmes took his ninth victory with form horse George Ehrhardt fourth for Todmorden and Clayton Harrier Shaun Livesey sixth. With 400 running and only 300 special bottles of beer for prizes, the last 100 finishers can collect their souvenir at the Stanbury Splash on January 27.
