Ken's challenge
KEN Chadwick of Chorley Harriers is hoping to beat his lifetime best of 3:59 in this year's London Marathon, but at 17 stone 8lbs he feels drastic measures are needed.
He is aiming to lose two stones before the race and is going on a sponsored slim in aid of Derian House.
The sting in the tail is that if he fails to hit his target weight he will match all the pledges personally and pay the money from his own pocket.
Ken can be contacted on kenchadwick@blueyonder.co.uk.
Vets shine
