In the game against Oldham the Latics took the lead on 3 mins when Duxbury headed in from a cross.
The tables were then turned when Sheridan was sent off when he pulled down Fenton who was clean on goal.
Two minutes later Pool got the equaliser, Fentons cross for Richard Walker who tapped in for his first goal since signing for Blackpool.
The second came on 36mins when Hills cross-found Walker who headed in.
After the restart Oldham got an early goal from Eyres. Pool regained the lead with a goal from substitute John Murphy.
A fouth came from Bullock and Walker finished off two minutes from time to get his first hatrick for the club.
The only bad point to come out of the game was an injury to Danny Coid; he was stretchered off the pitch in the second half.
All this means that Pool will now play Huddersfield who last night beat hull away one-nil in the northern area final.
The final is consisted of two matches one at each home team's ground.
In the southern section Bristol City beat rivals Bristol Rovers 3-0 to earn the right to play Cambridge who beat Barnet two-nil last night.
So it could be a return to the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff after last years play-off win there against Layton Orient.
Oldham 2-5 Blackpool
