YOU invited readers to vote 'Yes' or 'No' on whether it was drivers who were to blame for all the confusion on Blackburn's recently-opened 'orbital route' (LET, December 21).
The result was 26 per cent voting 'Yes' and 74 per cent voting 'No' (LET, December 28).
This is the opposite to the interpretation of the question asked, being: "Do drivers read road signs carefully enough?" In which case the answer to that question should have been published as 74 per cent 'Yes' and 26 per cent 'No.'
It would be appropriate for a council spokesperson to respond to the findings of this survey as so many readers would, I am certain, be interested to hear yet another feeble excuse.
RON CRANE, Walden Road, Blackburn.
