POSTAL workers received the stamp of approval for their hard work over Christmas and new year, with a visit from the Mayor of Bury.
Councillor Paul Nesbit went to the Wellington Street sorting offices of the Royal Mail to show his appreciation for the staff's efforts.
He found time to familiarise himself with the sorting process and see how the service is maintained at busy times.
Delivery office manager Andy McAleavey said: "We have a lot of additional mail to deliver over Christmas and the weather does not help."
"It is nice to get a visit from the mayor, and I think that the lads do appreciate it."
