FURTHER medical investigations are being carried out into the death of a 21-year-old Bury man who collapsed at home on Christmas Eve.
At the opening of an inquest, District Coroner Mr Barrie Williams was told that Lee Worsley, of Primrose Drive, had apparently discharged himself from the accident and emergency department of Fairfield General Hospital against medical advice on December 12.
Coroner's officer Mr Geoff Cave said death was certified at the hospital on Christmas Eve.
Mr Cave said police had concluded there was nothing criminally suspicious about the death of Mr Worsley, an unemployed packer.
A pathologist at Royal Oldham Hospital had found no obvious cause of death and samples had been sent off for laboratory analysis and toxicology. The results were still awaited.
The coroner adjourned the hearing pending the outcome of the medical.
