Clarets striker Ian Moore has no fears about flying solo at Wimbledon tomorrow.
Moore looks set to be employed as a lone striker as Burnley travel to Selhurst Park seeking their second success at the London venue in six weeks.
Moore struck twice as the Clarets won 2-1 at Crystal Palace at the start of December, ending a personal goal drought, and returns to Selhurst Park seeking to add to a run that has seen him score seven goals in his last six outings.
"It is a nice ground and one I always look forward to going to," said Moore, who also scored as the Clarets beat Wimbledon away last term.
"I have scored seven in my last six games and that started with getting two goals there against Palace.
"But I wasn't too worried when the goals weren't going in, I still felt that I was playing well enough, but obviously now the goals are coming I am very pleased about it."
Injuries to Gareth Taylor, Glen Little and Andy Payton almost ensure that Moore will be on his own up front, but he is happy to adapt to that demand and feels he has plenty of success in that role already this season.
Explained Moore: "Changing from two to one up front is something we have done from game to game, and even within games, this season. I seem to have got goals when we have gone for just one, I got the two against Crystal Palace in that situation.
"But it is all about being able to adapt to whatever system the manager wants us to play.
"I am quite happy to adapt. When we play with two I probably do more of my work wide or outside the box, but when we play with one I am in the box more and waiting for the service from the wings.
"But in the end I'm a striker and I'm there to score goals and I just have to try and take the chances when they come."
When Moore ended his barren run against Palace his tore off his shirt in celebration, but he said Selhurst Park punters would not be treated to a second strip.
"It would be nice to continue my scoring run at Selhurst, but the top will definitely be staying on," he smiled.
"For a start it's too cold now, and also I got some stick from the lads after that.
"Apparently I need to do some more work on the weights and get on a sunbed before I strip off in public again."
