IT is really sad to hear people comment on our town. Sad, because they're spot on.
The fact is, our once 'Proud Preston' is seen by many as run-down, shabby and unpleasant.
Indeed, like a property that is allowed to deteriorate, this town badly needs a facelift.
Yes, the town centre must be a priority, because those who were responsible for the demise of the old Town Hall tore the heart out of Preston.
Therefore, with the so-called injection of investment coming the town's way, it would be sensible to concentrate on this area of town first, by putting the heart back into Preston with a brand new Town Hall.
Moreover, if the town really is committed in its quest for city status, much more regeneration is needed. Leave the bus station alone, as there are far more pressing problems needing solutions.
Now, pigs might fly!
