GREAT Harwood boss Denis Underwood enjoyed the first 25 minutes of his side's performance against Kidsgrove - and wants more of the same.
The NWCL Division One strugglers faced title chasing Kidsgrove midweek and raced into a two-goal lead in the opening half hour of the Worthington Challenge Trophy quarter-final.
Kidsgrove did however come back and the two sides, after a 3-3 draw, will replay at Kidsgrove on Tuesday night.
But Underwood was delighted with his side's show against a side that have beaten them twice this season.
"If we can play like we did for the first 25 minutes for the rest of the season it will be brilliant," said the Harwood chief.
"They never had a sniff in that time but they are a good side and I knew they would come back into it."
Goalkeeper Russell Whalley was in top form for Harwood and Underwood will be hoping for more of the same when they welcome Warrington Town to the Showground in the NWCL Division One tomorrow.
Warrington are going well in the league but Underwood is hoping he can end his side's unwanted run of 16 league games without a win.
"We played them recently and were 2-0 down because we got there late and were disorganised. It ended up 3-2 to them and I felt we were unlucky.
"Now I want more of the same from the Kidgrove game."
Underwood should welcome back skipper Neil Kennedy who was suffering from flu in the trophy game while Damien McKay is struggling after an injury at work.
