FORMER Rover Glen Keeley is back at Colne to help boss John Lister's charge for a top six spot in NWCL Division Two.
Keeley, 47, came last season but injury and work commitments had forced him to take a backseat at Holt House.
"He will bring an added bonus on the coaching side as well as giving the club his experience as we push for a top six place," admitted Lister, who will be presented with the Manager of the Month award for December ahead of their home clash with Cheadle Town tomorrow.
Meanwhile Lister has appointed Lancashire FA coach Dean Grice, already a coach at Holt House, as his new assistant. Former assistant Gary Dalton has stepped down.
"Gary has had to relinquish this position due to other commitments outside the game but will still be involved on the playing side," said the Colne boss. "I would like to thank Gary for helping me turn things around over the past 18 months."
Colne are on a run of six league games without a loss and, while the young lads are doing well to turn last season's bottom two side into a top six team, Lister is looking to add to the squad.
"I am in talks with a player from the UniBond about coming to the club on loan," he said.
Former Burnley FC player Gordon Dugdale has been training hard and could make the substitutes bench for tomorrow's game. Chris Ingham has been struggling with a hamstring injury he picked up against Holker Old Boys at the end of January. Colne will also be without Gareth West and Stuart Walters who both start their suspensions this week, so Paul Gibbons, Phil Long and Neil Wilkinson have all been added to the squad.
