COULD I please say a very big thank you to the kind lady who stopped her car to pick me up after I slipped in Westby Street, Lytham, on Thursday January 3.
She took me in her car to the house I was visiting and then picked me up and took me back to my own home in St Annes.
I didn't catch her name but she lives in the new house near Cooksons Bakery.
I think if she sees this she will know. Westby Street was a disgrace to the council -- it was like the ice rink only worse.
Both sidewalks and the road were solid with ice and black ice on top of that. Thank her again.
Mrs Marshall,

St Annes on Sea.
