I WAS recently the victim of a mugging, reported in the Radcliffe Times, and I would like to thank a number of people for their kindness.
There was a lady who stayed with me until the police and ambulance arrived and I have also had a lot of care and attention from family and friends in Waverley Place, Radcliffe.
I received a gift of £100 from the president of Radcliffe Rotary Club, another £100 from an anonymous donor and a hamper from the fire service in Whitefield.
I am feeling a lot better now, although I still don't want to go out on my own. However, my experience has shown to me that 99 per cent of people are really good.
MRS GERTRUDE DOCKERY (aged 91).
