A TROUBLED father of two who subjected a young mother to midnight terror after bursting into her Oswaldtwistle home is still awaiting sentence.
Andrew Roberts, 39, had his case adjourned until March 22 for the defence to obtain a psychiatric report.
Judge Raymond Bennett said he was sure Roberts would like to know his fate -- and he didn't know what that would be, except it would be custody of some length.
Roberts, of Oaks Avenue, Bradshaw, Bolton, had earlier admitted false imprisonment, having articles with intent to damage property and possessing an offensive weapon. He was remanded in custody.
The court had earlier been told how the young mother, Joanne Trickett, whose children slept unaware in their beds, feared for her life as she was bound by her hands and feet and thought Roberts would torch her house.
Miss Trickett was an "innocent victim" of disgruntled and desperate Roberts, a former newsagent, the court was told.
