Mark has been working for Freddies Hair Salon, Bank Street, Rawtenstall, since he Fearns High School.
He started as a trainee, but salon owner Freddie Cunliffe said: "It was soon evident he had great potential and he has been a stylist here for the last two years and has a great clientele who ask for him time and again."
Mark was one of three stylists from Freddies who went to the competition in Birmingham when 120 people from across the country vied for a place.
