RADCLIFFE Borough's title hopes were punctured with a 2-1 defeat by a struggling Spennymoor side out to impress their new manager in his first home game in charge.
Former Bishop Auckland boss Tony Lee saw his side take the lead on 65 minutes through Grant and get a second in the final minute through the impressive Wayne Edgcumbe.
Boro got an injury time consolation through David Bean's close range header but the defeat sees more ground lost on leaders Harrogate Town who lost 2-0 at Doncaster Rovers on Saturday in the FA Umbro Trophy.
Boro are still second one point adrift of the Yorkshiremen but have now played four more league games. The top two go up and the cushion over third placed Leek Town is now four points after the Derbyshire outfit drew 3-3 at Farsley Celtic.
