LEIGH remain in close contention at the top of the Northern Ford Premiership despite losing their 100 per cent record.
But they had Simon Svabic to thank for a share of the spoils with Rochdale after he kicked a penalty three minutes from time to earn a 14-14 draw.
The Centurions had to play most of the match with 12 men after David Bradbury was sent off in the 14th minute for a bad tackle on David Stephenson.
Despite the loss Leigh dominated the first-half and scored two tries through Paul Rowley and Liam Bretherton which Svabic converted. The Hornets hit back with a couple of tries from Casey Mayberry and Richard Patchniuk and three goals from Richard Agar, but Svabic's late goal earned a point.
