MORE than 80 people attended an Alpha Meal at Mytton Fold to mark the launch of a new course run by local churches.
Speaker for the event, Methodist Minister The Rev Chris Cheeseman, gave a talk on 'Christianity, boring, untrue and irrelevant.'
The Alpha course is being organised by the churches in Whalley.
Held at Whalley Primary School, the course is a series of ten meetings which start with sandwiches, followed by a talk shown on big screen video followed by open, frank discussion.
Anyone is invited to attend. On offer is the opportunity to come and learn and discuss in a friendly atmosphere and ask those awkward questions you may always have wanted to ask but never dared before!
