PRESTON North End ensured that they stay in the play-off hunt and that Walsall remain on the brink of the drop zone.
For the Saddlers it was a huge blow after blowing a second-half lead at the Bescot Stadium against Preston.
Saddlers boss Ray Graydon was so furious with Frederic Biancalani for his red card for stamping on Jon Macken that he refused to attend the post-match press conference.
Darren Wrack had given the home side the lead, but Iain Anderson and Steve Basham grabbed a goal each in the last 15 minutes to seal the win.
Preston boss David Moyes said: "We played okay, and I'm pleased we won. I didn't think we deserved to go behind."
