ANDY Preece will ask the FA to look at the match video in a bid to get Steve Redmond's sending off rescinded.
The Bury defender was shown the red card in the first half at Loftus Road on Saturday as the Shakers went down to a 3-0 defeat to Queens Park Rangers.
Manager Preece is adamant that Redmond played the ball before connecting with French striker Doudou and is to ask the powers that be to overturn the decision of referee Steve Tomlin.
"If it had been a two-footed challenge there's no way I would defend Redders," said Preece.
"Challenges like that can end careers and have no part in the game but he took the ball as clean as you like.
"It was their player's momentum that took him down on the follow through. "I have asked the referee to have a look at it again and he said he can't unless the FA ask him to, so I will be sending a copy of the video to them."
Redmond stands to pick up a three match ban should the decision be upheld, a suspension Bury can ill-afford as they look to lift themselves out of the relegation zone once more.
