IT'S been awards all round at Holt House as they extended their unbeaten to rush to eight matches as they continue their push up the NWCL Division Two table.
With boss John Lister receiving his manager of the month award for December, George Craddock's achievements were also recognised when he won the Player of the Month for the same month.
"The club is absolutely delighted and we just can't believe what's happening," said manager Lister. "We're all on a high and enjoying our well earned accolades which we have worked so hard for over the past few months."
And there was no curse as Colne chalked up another win in front of a crowd of more than 80 - double the usual gate at Holt House.
The home side fell behind after only seven minutes when Mark Berry gave away a free kick and from the resulting cross Cheadle's Andy Lund headed home.
With only their first real attack of the game the Reds equalised when Paul Fildes raced clear before rounding the keeper to score.
With the first half coming to a close, Cheadle regained the lead, Mick Channon smashing the ball past the helpless Ross Baxter.
Colne introduced fit again Shaun Emmett on 50 minutes and it proved the turning point.
A last ditch tackle prevented Lister from levelling while Gary Dalton headed just over the bar and Craddock fired just wide.
Colne grabbed the equaliser on 70 minutes when Jamie Webster's free kick on the left found Richard Walton at the back post, and the centre half headed home his first goal of the season.
The winner eventually arrived on 78 minutes in bizarre fashion.
Cooper's cross caused mayhem in the Cheadle box and when the ball fell to Lister his superb volley looked goalbound until the keeper made a wonderful save, only for the rebound to fall straight to skipper Gary Dalton, his volley again looked to be heading home until the keeper saved again!
Walton looked to have finally forced the ball home but again the keeper was equal to his shot from just four yards out, so it was left to leading scorer Fildes to finish the job at the fourth attempt - his 11th of the season.
COLNE...3 CHEADLE...2
Colne have placed seven days on Nelson's Jonathan Irvine and Andy Lawson of Padiham.
"They are both excellent players and will be the final part of my squad building as we take Colne a further step forward," added Lister.
