The Seasiders complete their first double of the season with a seven-goal thriller against Bournemouth.
Richard Walker was on target again, following his midweek LDV Vans trophy hat trick with two more goals to help seal what should have been a comfortable victory for Steve McMahon.
However bad defending made yet another unnecessarily nervous ending at Bloomfield Road and Pool had to manage just to hold on.
Defensive mistakes aside, this was a good attacking display by Blackpool.
Like in the midweek win at Oldham, Martin Bullock was particularly impressive with Bournemouth not able to match his pace and skill.
Walker's goals showed what is to come from the ex-Aston Villa striker and it was pleasing to see John Hills cap off another good performance with an emphatic first half goal.
However it didn't start off to plan when Bournemouth opened the scoring after 7 minutes. A cross by Wade Elliott found James Hayter in the box who was left unmarked to head in and open the scoring for the visitors.
But two goals in as many minutes around the half hour mark and Blackpool were in front.
The first was from Richard Walker who received a ball from Lee Collins to turn and sweep a left foot shot into the bottom corner.
Shortly afterwards Pool won a corner and when Richard Wellens flighted the ball into the middle, Bournemouth's Carl Fletcher blatantly handballed and the referee had no option other than to reward Pool with a penalty. John Hill's spot kick was unstoppable, smashing into the top corner to put Pool 2-1 ahead.
Pool looked as though they would go into half time ahead but in stoppage time, Bournemouth were gifted an equaliser.
Danny Coid failed to clear properly and Carl Fletcher punished Pool with a screamer into the top corner to level the scores.
Blackpool had to wait until the 68th minute before going ahead again. It looked as though Richard Walker got the last touch in a scrappy goal, tapping in from close range for his 5th in 2 games.
It was 4-2 on 83 minutes and it was the best of the lot. Martin Bullock sliced the Bournemouth defence in two with a mazy run to lay off Graham Fenton clear on goal.
With the keeper bearing down on him, Fenton majestically lofted the ball into the net and that should have been game over.
But its never easy with Blackpool, and a nervy ending was set-up when Bournemouth grabbed a goal back in the last minute.
Carl Fletcher grabbed his second of the game from close range and the sides entered injury time at 4-3.
Bournemouth grabbed a corner in the dying seconds but Pool managed to hold on with some desperate defending.
The Seasiders need to patch up defensive frailties but if this kind of scoring carries on, the points will start to roll in.
Blackpool 4
Walker (27,68), Hills (31 Pen), Fenton (83)
Bournemouth 3
Hayter (8), Fletcher (45,89)
