BLACKBURN Under 13s gave team manager Kevin Ainsworth an emphatic 27-10 win over Ormskirk to celebrate his birthday.
Blackburn were up by two points following a converted try 12-10.
In the first half, Blackburn centres Scott Holt and Shaun Buck finished off good passing moves well orchestrated by fly half Edward Holden.
The second half saw a transformation as Blackburn utilised set piece moves and there were touches of brilliance by full back Arron Hunt (try), scrum half, Andrew Coultherd and wing Jordan Nevins (dissallowed try).
Perhaps the best moment in the game was the captain Lewis Riley who scored a classic number 8's try from the base of the scrum, extending their lead to 22-10.
In the latter stages of the game Toby Ainsworth came close to scoring a try but he sustained a sprain injury to his wrist. Luke Hayton closed Blackburn's try tally in the last moments of the match with an excellent forwards move backed up by Andrew Williams and Danny Khan leaving the final score at 27 -10.
