At long last we have an MP who knows how to stand up in the House of Commons and put a case for his constituency.
Yes, I agree with all that he says about the police reaction to vandalism, but also have some sympathy for the police. I know how I would feel if I went to all the trouble of getting someone in court and some do-gooder says "you have been very naughty, now be very good and do not do it again".
What a waste of everybody's time and money. When are we going to stop making excuses for these vandals and litter louts, when are parents going to teach their children to put their rubbish in the bins provided?
Well done, Andy Burnham MP. It is time we all back you up by starting to make our area tidier and not just one big rubbish heap.
