AN EXHIBITION featuring the treasures of Tutankhamun and the Egyptian Pharaohs will be on display at Blackpool's Winter Gardens from February 2.
The £3.5 million exhibition 'Tutankhanmun and the Treasures of the Pharaohs' features more than 300 exact replicas of ancient Egyptian artefacts including the famous golden mask of Tutankhamun, discovered in 1922 by Howard Carter.
The originals are to be found in museums around the world but this exhibition features exhibits made by skilled craftsmen in the workshops of Cairo Museum working under the guidance of Dr Atef Abdel Shafi, a Doctor of Egyptology.
Other exhibits include golden sarcophagi and a pharaoh's throne.
The exhibition has attracted big crowds wherever it has appeared and is particularly popular with children.
