AN up-and-coming Haslingden band are hoping that a competition will put them on the road to rock 'n' roll stardom.
The Flaws have won through to the semi-finals of a competition which features bands from the UK and Ireland. The next round of heats will take place at the Palace Nightclub in Levenshulme, Manchester. It is one of the highlights of this years Manchester Irish Festival which is being filmed by television crews.
The local band, who are all former pupils of Haslingden High, are led by bassist Phil Mason, who lives in the Foresters Arms in Pleasant Street.
The band play their semi on Friday February 8 and are hoping for a strong show of support from Haslingden to cheer them to success.
