DISQUALIFIED driver Adrian Lee Palmer only drove for a quarter of a mile, but was spotted by police.
Palmer, 23, of New Line, Bacup, admitted driving while disqualified and without insurance when he appeared before magistrates at Burnley.
Julie Reddish told the court that Palmer was banned from driving for three years in August 2000 for an excess alcohol offence.
On December 7 he was seen by police driving a Ford Fiesta from the direction of Stacksteads to New Line, where he was questioned.
Sarah Goodchild, defending, said Palmer had only driven for about a minute and for a quarter of a mile when he was stopped. It was, she said, a stupid and impulsive act.
Palmer was sentenced to serve a community rehabilitation order for 12 months and to pay £65 costs.
