BLACKPOOL and the Fylde College is launching a new course to give 16 to 19-year-olds a "second chance" in education.
The "Link Up" course is designed to prepare young people for further study or improve their job prospects, said a college spokesman.
"On the course, students will have the opportunity to develop their maths, English and IT skills, as well as having the chance to sample work-related areas," she said.
"The students will be able to sample two vocational areas while on the course. This will allow them to gain invaluable experience and help them decide what they would like to do in the future."
Jackie Wooding, curriculum leader from the School of Access and Continuing Education, added: "This new initiative offers young people a second chance in education and allows them to experience college life.
"Link Up will help them gain confidence and progress on to further study and give them better job prospects in the future."
