BIG musicals top the bill for Blackpool's 2002 season from Leisure Parcs with two resort premieres joined by two old favourites at the Opera House.

Sunset Boulevard rolls into town on January 23 with Faith Brown as fading film star Norma Desmond.

And Whistle Down The Wind blows into Blackpool for the first time on October 14 to 26 as part of its first ever nationwide tour. Adapted from the famous Hayley Mills' film, it tells the tale of two children who discover an escaped convict and think he's Jesus. Back for another year is fabulous Fame the musical with leg warmers aplenty from June 10 to 15.

And Blood Brothers will make it on to the stage again from September 2-21 after last year's debacle over contracts. Star names to be announced, but maybe yet another Nolan sister will take the role of Mrs Johnson played by Blackpool's own Linda Nolan in 2000.

And as for the rest, TV chat show favourite Des O'Connor will visit the Opera House for one night only on April 13. The show starts at 7.30pm and tickets are £15.50, £14 and £12 and he might even sing!

The taptastic Five Guys named Moe appear from March 11 to 16. Tickets from £12.50. Get Reelin' and a Rockin' is on Easter Sunday (March 31) with Gerry Marsden, Mike D'Abo, Mike Pender, Dave Berry, Brian Poole and The Nolans. Tickets from £12.50.
