TWO female taxi passengers were freed by firefighters after a three-car collision in Bury.
The 40-year-old cabbie from Bradford was also treated at the scene after it was in collision with a Ford Escort at a junction in Bridge Street. The Escort driver fled the scene.
The impact forced the Toyota Carina taxi to cannon into another vehicle, but there were no further injuries.
The incident happened shortly before midnight on Friday (Jan 11) and fire crews spent 45 minutes at the scene where they freed the trapped passengers.
The two women, one aged 40 and both from Bury, were taken to Fairfield General Hospital with slight back, chest and neck injuries. They were later discharged.
