DETECTIVES in Burnley want licensees and traders who have been the victim of a con trick known as 'ringing the changes' to come forward.
Police have received complaints from two pubs in the town centre about a man ordering a drink and then confusing staff over the change.
Later they have found that the till was £20 down.
Det Sgt Steve Mounsey said: "I don't want to go into details but essentially the staff have been confused and bamboozled over the change."
Anyone with information is asked to contact DC Paul Hanson on 01282 472240.
A man was arrested last night in connection with the complaints and was being interviewed today.
