HASLINGDEN residents objecting to a childcare team's plan to use a house in Yarmouth Avenue for a small children's home have been accused of 'nimbyism'.
Chairman of the development control sub-committee Coun Christopher Wadsworth said he thought the reason people had objected to the application for a certificate of lawfulness was because of the 'Not In My Back Yard' attitude.
Since the application by Keys Childcare Consultancy for a home for four children was advertised, Rossendale Council has received two letters of objection and a petition signed by 35 residents of the immediate locality.
