THEATRE goers can experience one of Shakespeare's most famous plays in a new production by Leyland's C'est Tous Theatre Company.
Macbeth is a tragedy set in the castles and highlands of Scotland. The play -- known to actors as 'the Scottish play' for fear of bad luck -- tells the tale of Macbeth, his murderous wife, and their plans to overthrow the King.
Along the way we meet three witches who help Macbeth, but also warn him of what is to come.
With their spooky 'hubble, bubble, toil and trouble' rhymes Macbeth's three ancient spirits have become some of the theatre world's most famous characters.
Performed in the Marsden Theatre, a converted barn in Leyland's Worden Park, the play will take on a life of its own.
C'est Tous has been touring with the play across Lancashire, and so far every production sold out fast.
In Leyland, no matinee tickets are available, but tickets to evening performances are still up for grabs.
David Houston, who plays Macbeth in the new production, said: "Macbeth is one of Shakespeare's historic plays.
"It should appeal to everybody, and it's a murder and suspense play.
"The play is now studied by young children at school, as well as college students, so it's suitable for everybody, and it's very popular."
Macbeth comes to Leyland from Wednesday, February 20, to Saturday, February 23, then from Wednesday, February 27 to Saturday, March 2.
Tickets are £8 to £10. For information and bookings ring C'est Tous on 431300.
