IN A daring daylight robbery thieves stole around £10,000 worth of gold solitaire rings from a shop in Blackpool's South Shore.
The raid happened at Chard Jewellers in Lytham Road on January 8.
A man entered the shop just after midday and asked to see a tray of rings. A few minutes later a woman rang at the shop door.
When a staff member opened the door the man grabbed a tray of rings and ran out followed by the woman.
The man was white, 5ft 8ins tall, in his early 20s with short, dark hair. He was smartly dressed and had a spotty complexion. The woman was white, 5ft 4ins tall and slim. She had blonde hair with a strawberry streak and it was tied in a ponytail.
They were seen on Harrowside getting into a dirty, light-coloured Citroen or Cavalier which drove off at speed -- possibly driven by a third person -- toward Clifton Drive.
Police said the pair had not appeared to be armed and had not threatened staff or customers in the shop. They advised pawnbrokers to look out for the rings, each of which have Chard's name engraved inside.
Any witnesses or anyone with any information should phone Det Sgt Daryl Turner at Blackpool CID on (01253) 293933.
